Laughology un film hilarant sur le rire en version originale anglaise.
LAUGHOLOGY - The Documentary
Featuring the man with the "most contagious laugh in the world."
Laughter really could be the best medicine according to the first feature documentary about laughter Laughology. New research indicates that something as simple and free as laughter may fight heart disease, boost immunity and increase longevity but the catch is you have to laugh a lot, which is hard to do. The new “screamingly funny” (National Post) documentary Laughology demonstrates that problem has been solved and that’s why a new laughter movement is sweeping the globe.
Laughology reveals amazing phenomena in laughter including:
The Origins of Laughter Yoga
Holy Laughter - A religious movement where people believe god laughs through them.
The Tanzanian Laughter Epidemic - In the early 60s tens of thousands of Tanzanians starting laughing for no apparent reason and did not stop for days. Laughology reveals that the epidemic may never have ended.
The story begins with Filmmaker Albert Nerenberg's discovery of the little known fact that laughter is an innate, not a learned behaviour. From there, the film reveals the history of laughter as well as the theory that laughing is the original "human peace signal." The story takes us to the remarkable Doug Collins who is said to have the "The Most Contagious Laugh in the World."
The film reveals why Collins' laugh is exceptional. Laughology makes the case that laughter has been repressed throughout the ages and is on the cusp of a golden age.
Screenings at Cinema du Parc will feature "laughter warmups" by local laughter masters.
"Screamingly funny." National Post
"Some of the loudest laughter I have heard in a movie theatre. Laughology is infectious."
