Down-and-out producer Charlie Berns (Macy) desperately wants to get back in the film game. Using the script penned by his nephew (Jason Ritter) as bait, Charlie cons studio development exec Deidre Herne (Ryan) into making a perfectly awful action-adventure film. But when their star is kidnapped and the movie shuts down, the two conspire to keep the cameras rolling at the studio’s expense in this biting look behind the scenes of Tinseltown.
