Incipit Lamentatio, qui met en valeur la beauté extraordinaire de la musique renaissance du Carême, comprend des arrangements plaintifs et onctueux des Lamentations de Thomas Louis da Victoria et Thomas Crequillon, ainsi que des motets de Jean Richafort et de William Byrd, dont les célèbres "Ne Irascaris" et "Quomodo cantabimus". 

Highlighting the extraordinary beauty of Lenten renaissance music, Incipit Lamentatio includes luscious and plaintive Lamentations settings by Thomas Louis da Victoria and Thomas Crequillon as well as motets by Jean Richafort and William Byrd, including Byrd's well-known "Ne Irascaris" and "Quomodo cantabimus". 

Founded in 2011, Montreal-based One Equall Musick is a collaborative vocal ensemble dedicated to the programming and interpretation of high quality repertoire from the fifteenth-century to the present day. OEM has appeared in the Montreal Bach Festival alongside celebrated organist Hans-Ola Ericsson and in Lennoxville, QC as part of the Uplands Musical Society Concert Series. The ensemble maintains a strong interest in historical performance practice and scholarship and has produced both a concert and archival recording of little-known works for mens' voices from the Wanley and Lumley manuscripts; OEM has also worked with the McGill Centre for Research on Religion to present a series of historical Evensong services at Birks Chapel. OEM enjoys collaborating with other ensembles and has shared the stage with the medieval vocal ensemble Scholastica, Compagnie Baroque Mont-Royal, the Syrian music group Ensemble Zaman, and Ensemble Séfarade et Méditerannéan. Upcoming concerts include Abendständchen, a program of choral works by Brahms and Mendelssohn with pianist Geneviève Jalbert; and In Vita Mortali, featuring compositions by Sweelinck, Schütz and Monteverdi with organist Mark McDonald. 

Fondé en 2011 et établi à Montréal, One Equall Musick est un ensemble vocal collaboratif se consacrant à l’interprétation des oeuvres musicales les plus raffinées du XVe siècle à aujourd'hui. One Equall Musick s’est produit dans le cadre du Festival Bach de Montréal avec le célèbre organiste Hans-Ola Ericsson, ainsi qu’à Lennoxville avec la Société musicale Uplands. L’ensemble a développé un intérêt soutenu pour la pratique d’exécution et la recherche historiques et a produit un concert ainsi qu’un enregistrement d’archives de plusieurs oeuvres peu connues écrites pour voix d’hommes à partir de manuscrits de Wanley et Lumley. One Equall Musick a également collaboré avec le Centre de Recherche sur la Religion de l’Université McGill afin de présenter une série d’offices historiques pour les Vêpres à la chapelle Birks. One Equall Musick travaille régulièrement avec d’autres ensembles et est monté sur scène aux côtés de l’ensemble vocal médiéval Scholastica, de la Compagnie Baroque Mont-Royal, du groupe syrien Ensemble Zaman et de l’Ensemble séfarade et méditerranéen. La saison 2016-2017 de One Equall Musick inclut Abendständchen, un programme d’oeuvres chorales de Brahms et Mendelssohn avec la pianiste Genviève Jalbert ainsi que In Vita Mortali, mettant à l’honneur des compositions de Sweelinck, Schütz et Monteverdi, avec l’organiste Mark McDonald.
