Originally from Lachute, Quebec, now Montrealer Guillaume Jabbour (Les Perroquets, Grouyan Gombo - guitar, vocals) brings together talented folk musicians Carl Rufh (Durham County Poets, Grouyan Gombo - bass, vocals) and Bill Collier (Grouyan Gombo, Pat Loiselle - ukulele, cajon, vocals) in this acoustic ensemble, with a focus on storytelling and vocal harmonies. Fellow songwriter, co-producer and Charlottetown, PEI native Bill Collier joined the band two years ago and with help from a Factor recording grant, they launched their debut album 'Round the Clock this summer, which features 8 original songs in both french and english. The sound is the result of a bilingual approach to songwriting influenced by chanson Française et Québécoise, American Swing and Cajun music. They have toured in Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia and the Maritimes where they played at the Trailside Cafe on PEI and at the Coal Shed Music Festival in Yarmouth, NS. Jabbour is currently arranging new tunes for an upcoming recording project.
