En prévision de la sortie de leur enivrant album pop symphonique, Lang Amma (Disponible le 27 mai sous l’étiquette Art Not Love), le groupe Montréalais Syngja présentera leur album dans son entièreté, au prestigieux Théâtre Rialto.  

Accompagnés par un ensemble de cordes, du thérémine, un band live, des danseurs et des projections digitales et analogues par l’artiste Zuzu Knew, cet évènement sera un indispensable à votre calendrier.  

À part égale entre le pop, le psychédélique, le folk islandais, l’électronique et la performance multidisciplinaire, Lang Amma rend hommage aux racines islandaises du groupe Syngja ainsi qu’à la grand-mère de ceux-ci, Ingibjorg Johnson (1891-1994). 

Cet évènement est rendu possible grâce à la générosité du Conseil des arts du Canada avec la participation de M POUR MONTRÉAL/M FOR MONTREAL, Art Not Love Records et Rich Uncle.

In anticipation of the release of their lush, symphonic pop album, Lang Amma (Art Not Love Records, available May 27), Montreal ensemble Syngja will be presenting their album in its entirety in concert with full string ensemble, theremin and band at the magnificent Rialto Theatre. Dancers and live digital and analogue projections by artist Zuzu Knew will join on stage for a memorable evening not to be missed. 

Equal parts pop, psychedelia, classical, Icelandic folk song, electronic production and interdisciplinary performance, Lang Amma pays homage to Syngja's Icelandic roots and their great grandmother Ingibjorg Johnson (1891-1994).
