SPECTACLE BILINGUE/BILINGUAL SHOW 

ON SE CONNAIT? 

Like Mother, Like Daughter / Telle mère, telle fille est une réflexion en français et en anglais sur ce que veut dire être une femme juive aujourd’hui ; un rendez-vous où le public peut partager un repas avec ces femmes et ainsi mieux comprendre leur rapport au monde. Créé et interprété par des mères et filles juives, le spectacle offre un cadre convivial, presque documentaire, propice à une rencontre réelle, intime, hors des idées préconçues. 

Les metteurs en scène torontois Rose Plotek et Ravi Jain ont créé ce spectacle au OFFTA en 2014. Surprise, spontanéité et franchise sont au menu. La table est mise pour une expérience riche en réflexions et en émotions. Espace Libre se transforme en salle à manger et vous y êtes tous et toutes conviés. 

HAVE WE MET? 

Like Mother, Like Daughter / Telle mère, telle fille is a reflection on what it means to be a Jewish woman today, an unscripted performance event in which the audience share a meal with the performers and come to understand a little more about their world. Created and performed by Jewish mothers and daughters, the show offers a frank and intimate look into their lives, moving beyond preconceptions to make space for a genuine encounter.  

Toronto directors Ravi Jain and Rose Plotek created this show for the first time at OFFTA, in 2014. Surprise, spontaneity and openness are on the menu, and the table is set for an experience rich in reflections and emotions. For the night, Espace Libre is transformed into a dining room, and everyone is invited.
